Spring is the season of renewal, rebirth, and rejuvenation. Spring flowers are the best way to brighten your home and spread joy. Just an arrangement of seasonal blooms from Wildflower Florist will brighten your spirits!
Tulips
They say tulips signal the arrival of spring and mean 'perfect love'.
Meaning: The most known meaning of Tulips is a perfect and deep love but they also symbolize happiness, good wishes and an attachment to someone.
Tulip Care Tips: Cut the stems under cold running water so the tulips don't dry out. Change the water every few days and re-cut the stems. Place in a cool area away from direct heat and add a penny (from 1981 or older; they have 95% copper in them) in the water to keep them standing up and to maintain their happiness!
Native to China and are highly valued, which is why they're often referred to as the 'king of flowers'. They are considered a spring flower; however, are typically not found in NC until May because of our weather. Disclaimer: yes they're gorgeous, unfortunately, their lifespan isn't very long :/
***These are def a fan fave here at Wildflower.
Meaning: Peonies symbolize happiness, romance, happy marriage, prosperity, good fortune, honor, and compassion.
Peony Care Tips: Peonies are thirsty little things so be sure to keep their vase full!! Change the water and cut the stems every few days. Keep them in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
They smell just as beautiful as they appear. Each color smells a little different!
Meaning: Hyacinths symbolize peace, commitment, beauty, power and pride. Pink hyacinths specifically symbolize 'playful joy' - I believe this really captures the true essence of spring!
Hyacinths Care Tips: Stand in fresh SHALLOW water and change every 2 days. Mist them occasionally to promote a longer, happier life!
Some say Daffodils announce the beginning of spring since they are one of the first flowers to bloom at the end of winter. They are strong and resilient flowers.
Meaning: Daffodils symbolize new beginnings and rebirth. They are a positive life-affirming symbol. I can't help but smile when I see them on the side of the road (:
Daffodil Care Tips: Daffodil sap is toxic to other flowers so let them stand alone for 24 hours before adding to the rest of your bouquet - Don't worry we already took care of that for you here at Wildflower! Do not use flower food as it encourages the sap to flow and change the water every few days.
They are regal flowers and have been linked to the monarchy since medieval times.
Meaning: Iris shows royalty, faith, hope, wisdom.
Iris Care Tips: Remove any foliage that will be under the water and trim an inch off the stems. Be careful not to let the stems dry out and place in a cool area.
